Most Worshipful, Right Worshipful, Very Worshipful, Worshipful Sirs, Brethren all, Ladies and guests.

Thank you all for being here today to take part in this installation.

Thank you also for putting your faith in me once again to govern this Grand Lodge as Grand Master for the ensuing term.

I would like to personally thank my lovely wife Christine and my Children Paul Dean and Emily. Without their continued support I would not be where I am today.

I also want to thank all of the Grand Line officers who have in the past and I know will in the future continue to support me and our Grand Lodge.

Lastly I wish to thank my installation team for all their efforts in making this installation a pleasant one.

It is especially an honour for me to represent you during our fiftieth anniversary. Our Grand Lodge has come a long way since its founding in 1962.

We are a worldwide recognized Grand Lodge within the United Grand Lodges of Germany; this is an accomplishment we can all be proud of.

Not only are we celebrating our fiftieth anniversary as a Grand Lodge, we are also celebrating the two hundredth and seventy-fifth anniversary of Freemasonry in Germany.

Freemasonry in Germany has lasted the test of time because it has always drawn good men of strong character into its folds.

That is what makes our Fraternity strong, you my Brethren.

Freemasonry has lasted 275 years in Germany not because it is a fad or some new trend.

Freemasonry is a way of life.

It has affected its members so profoundly that each and every one of us strives to better ourselves and our communities,

I am convinced that if we continue to strive to better ourselves, those good men of strong character will seek us out and want to be a part of this Noble cause.

They will help us grow as men and as freemasons, thus ensuring the survival of this great fraternity.

That is why I chose for my theme a quote from our Honourable Brother George Washington.

Brother Washington wrote in a letter to James Warren while referring to the Revolutionary War,

“OUR CAUSE IS NOBLE”

I truly believe this to be true of our fraternity, because I can think of no nobler cause than that of betterment of our society through betterment of one’s self.

It makes me truly proud to be here amounts the men I call Brother and look forward to working with all of in the coming year.

Always remember my Brethren,

OUR CAUSE IS NOBLE.
